Raymond Huber


Raymond Huber is a writer, editor and teacher from New Zealand. After observing honey bees for years, he wrote two junior novels, Sting and Wings (Walker Books), both told from a honey bee’s viewpoint. Sting was a finalist in the NZ Post Book Awards. His acclaimed picture book, Flight of the Honey Bee (Walker Books, Candlewick Press), was an American Library Association Notable Children’s Book. Raymond was a primary school teacher for 10 years. He loves writing about science, and has taught Science Communication at Otago University. He’s had many textbooks and readers published for schools in New Zealand, the United States and China, as well as short stories and poems for children. Here’s his fascinating website.
